Payment policy for Elementi Cooking School
Payment is to be paid in full to secure your private one-to-one or group Exclusive Cooking Experience. You will not be confirmed unless full payment has been made. Once you have paid in full, you will be booked for your private chosen exclusive cooking experience, at your chosen time and your chosen date.
Please note all purchases to Elementi Cooking School are non-refundable and non-transferable to another class date unless previously discussed with Elementi Cooking School.
We accept cash and direct deposits.
Pre-purchased gift vouchers are also regarded as payment. To book a class with a pre-paid gift voucher you can book online using your voucher number for payment. Gift Vouchers must be used within the expiry date ( 1 year from the purchase date). Gift Vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferable and not exchengable for cash.
When your booking is complete and processed successfully you receive an automated email. This is your booking confirmation. Should there be any problem with your payment we will email you within 48 hours.
Cancellation, Transfer & Refund Policy
Elementi Cooking School reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a class for reasons concerning Elementi Cooking School. If a class has been cancelled due to sickness or any other matter regarding Elementi Cooking School, all participants will be notified within 48 hours of the class commencement date, and the option to reschedule to another date or receive a full refund will be provided.
In the event a participant needs to cancel a booked class, the following policies apply:
- Cancellation more than 15 days prior to the class date allows the participant to reschedule to another class, subject to availability.
- Cancellation between 7 to 5 days prior to the class incurs a $45 fee to reschedule.
- Cancellation within 48 hours of the class is non-refundable and non-transferable. However, participants may send someone else in their place, and we request notification if doing so.
Peak Season Cancellation Policy:
During our peak seasons, notably the end of the financial year (May -July) and Christmas time (Nov -Jan), we do not accept cancellations once a booking is confirmed due to high demand and extensive preparation involved. Participants are encouraged to carefully consider their availability before booking during these periods. If you cannot attend a class during the peak season, you may nominate another individual to take your place, and we kindly ask for notification of such a change.
Without excluding any rights under the Australian Consumer Law, due to the costs associated with preparing for each class, including the purchase of food and fresh produce, refunds or full rescheduling options are not available for participants who change their mind or are unable to attend for reasons such as illness or injury.
Attending a Class
To ensure that our class runs smoothly, please treat the booking as you would a theatre ticket and turn up on time for the beginning of the class. We kindly ask that you and /or your guests arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before the class as we will be preparing for your class until this time. If you cannot make it for any reason, please let us know as soon as you can. We spend time preparing for each class and purchasing fresh food to ensure we provide you with the best possible ingredients and experience for yourself and your guests. We endeavor to use the freshest and most seasonal ingredients and from time to time may need to substitute or change a dish if ingredients are unavailable. We apologise if this causes any disappointment.

General Terms and conditions when attending Elementi Cooking School
ADDITIONAL PARTICIPANTS: You may add more participants to your booking up to 4 days before the scheduled class date.
RIGHT TO REFUSE: Elementi Cooking School holds the right to refuse a participant to attend a class if the instructor feels they are intoxicated or may cause harm to themselves or anyone else attending the scheduled class.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY: When participating in an Elementi Cooking School class/dinner/event, where the participant will be around or using sharp and potentially dangerous tools suitable to a kitchen environment, the participant releases, indemnifies and excludes Simona Arcieri owner of Elementi Cooking School and its employees from any and all liability of any kind for any damage or injury incurred while attending or visiting Elementi Cooking School. The participant understands these terms and conditions and accepts the inherent risks of a kitchen environment when they make a full payment for a scheduled class/dinner/event.
START TIME: Classes run by Elementi Cooking School will start on time. We advise participants to arrive 10 minutes early to minimise the chance of missing any of their lesson time. If a participant is late for a class, it is their responsibility to catch up with the rest of the class and minimise disruption, as Elementi Cooking School instructors will not have the time to interrupt the class and begin again for every late participant.
DAMAGE/LOSS OF PERSONAL PROPERTY: Elementi Cooking School will take all necessary care, but accepts no responsibility for the damage to or loss of merchandise left in the venue prior to, during or after a class/event/function. Elementi Cooking School is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal items in any form. If a participant does happen to leave an item in class, the participant has 14 days to retrieve the item otherwise Elementi Cooking School will donate it to charity.
DAMAGE/LOSS OF ELEMENTI COOKING SCHOOL PROPERTY: The participant or function organiser may be held financially responsible for any damage to or loss of Elementi Cooking School property during the class/event/function. The cost of repairing any damage to walls, doors or other parts of the property as a result of inappropriate conduct will be charged to the person or hiring company involved.
CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND THE CONTROL OF ELEMENTI COOKING SCHOOL: Should Elementi Cooking School be unable to provide for your class or function due to circumstances beyond the control of Elementi Cooking School, Elementi Cooking School is not responsible for any costs, damages or expenses that you may suffer or incur.
